Kay’s Philosophy

We believe in the amazing and true capacities of the female body during labor and birth. Our desire is that every woman, including the woman’s family members, who comes in contact with our hands experience the gift of healing, strength, and prosperity.”
Kay’s Journey
Kwajalein (Kay) Cleveland is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, and has over 14 years of nursing experience. Since graduating from Trident Technical College with an Associate of Science in Nursing in 2005, Kay has been recognized for being a compassionate and excellent nursing care leader and mentor.
In 2010, Kay graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University. In 2016, she graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery, and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Kay has been the attending midwife at over 200 births and counting.
Kay’s journey has been one of determination and dedication. She continues to soar to new endeavors in her midwifery career with Gifted Hands Midwifery homebirth services.
